  VERNON L. EMERICK
  
    Vernon L. Emerick, 77, of Maple Mountain Manor, Berlin, formerly of
  Comp's Corner, died August 30, 1984, at Maple Mountain Manor.  Born at
  Comp's Corner in Southhampton Township, Somerset County, Feb. 3, 1907, he
  was a son of the late Lorenza W. Emerick and Anna M. (Kennell) Emerick.  He
  had resided in Berlin for the past 20 years.
    He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Harper, Monroeville, and Mrs.
  Nora E. Baker, Hyndman RD 1; and a number of nieces and nephews.
  The Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.  Services
  were conducted there Saturday by the Rev. Timothy L. Stamper.  Interment,
  Comp's Cemetery.
