EMERICK William Donald (Nookie) Emerick, 55, died January 24, 1984, at Sacred Hear) Hospital, Cumberland, Maryland. Born in Barrelville Aug. 3, 1928, he was a son of Raymond Emerick and Beulah (Michaels) Emerick, Boonsboro. He was an independent trucker and was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Frostburg. Besides his parents, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Coletta (Durkin) Emerick; four sons, Joseph Emerick and James Emerick, both at home; Charles Emerick, Huntington, W.Va., and Thomas R. Emerick, Wellersburg; two daughters, Mrs. Linda Marie Greene, of Florida, and Mrs. Julia Connor, Barrelville, Maryland; a brother, Charles Emerick, Barrelville; two sisters, Mrs. Helen House, Boonsboro, Maryland; and Mrs. Barbara Claggert, of Florida, and four grandchildren. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, where services were conducted by the Rev. Richard J. Greene. Interment was in Wellersburg Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ernest O'Baker, Herbert Witt, Donald Witt, John Lepley, Lou Diehl and Edward Wilhelm. The Republic, Feb. 2, 1984 [E241]
