  Edna M. Emert, 85, of Somerset, died Oct. 1, 1980 in Somerset Community
  Hospital.  Born May 11, 1895 in Latrobe, a daughter of Edmund and Ida
  (Swank) Woy.  Preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth D'elassandro; also by
  three brothers and one sister.  Survived by husband, Charles W.; and these
  children: Mrs. Pearl Shaffer, Jenners; Monroe, Somerset; Mrs. Thelma
  Kowalczyk, Boswell; Mrs. Ethel Diest, Manheim; John, Somerset; Charles Ray,
  Dover, Ohio; David, Somerset; 19 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 26
  great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.  Also these
  brothers and sisters Mrs. Catherine Brinkman, Clinton, Md.; Mrs. Al (Mabel)
  Milligan, Cool Water, Fla.; Mrs. Myrtle Barron, Hollsopple; Mrs. Mildred
  Lee, Harrisburg; Richard Woy, Rock Island, Ill.; and Hobart Woy,
  Jennerstown.  Member of Christian and Missionary Alliance Church for 38 years.
  The couple celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in April, 1980.  Friends
  received after 7 p.m. Thursday at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where
  service will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. James Vandervort.  
  Interment, Lichty Cemetery.
