  Ralph Wesley Emert, 81, Friedens, died June 3, 1998, at Somerset Hospital.
  Born June 3, 1916, in Lincoln Township.  Son of the late Edward Ellsworth
  and Mayme Catherine (Brant) Emert.  Also preceded in death by daughter,
  Judith Glessner; great-granddaughter, Andrea Keller; brothers, Earl, Elbert
  and Richard Emert; sisters, Margaret Emery and Madie Eppley. 
  Survived by widow, the former Anna Belle Barnett, to whom he was married 62
  years, and these children: Mrs. Glendon R. (Carol) Keller of Shanksville;
  Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Thoricht of Bellview Fla.; Patricia Sue Emert of
  Duncansville; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  Member of St
  Mark's Lutheran Church, Shanksville.  Dragline operator for Allehgheny Coal
  Co., retiring in 1984.  A 1936 graduate of Somerset High School.  Friends
  received from 7 to 9 today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the
  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m.
  Sunday, with the Rev. Richard Carter officiating.  Interment, Casebeer
  Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, P.O. Box
  130, Shanksville, Pa. 15560
