  George J. Engbert, 77, Club Road, Berlin, died Aug. 13, 2000 at Meadow
  View Nursing Center, Berlin.  Born Sept. 28, 1922 in Allegheny Twp., son of
  the late Mark and Helena (Will) Engbert.
  Survived by wife of 46 years, the former Maude Rhodes, and these children:
  Richard, married to the former Cheryle Kagarice, Schellsburg; Donna,
  married to James Dennison, Hyndman; Larry, married to the former Nancy
  Hoffman, and Nancy, married to Gregory Baumgardner, both of Berlin; and
  Judy, of Manns Choice; stepson Jack Edward Rhodes, Somerset; grandchildren:
  Beth, Lindsey, Hilary and Jonathan Engbert, Julie Cline, Linda Deneen, Karen
  Dishong, and Sarah !and Stacy Baumgardner; also 4 great-grandchildren.
  Retired from Bethlehem Steel, Johnstown, with 25 years service.  Member of
  St. John the Baptist Church, New Baltimore, and former member of the New
  Baltimore Sportsmen's Club.  Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7
  to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin Where vigil for the
  deceased will be held at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.  Funeral mass will be held at 10
  a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Church, New Baltimore.  Rev. Mark S.
  Begly officiating.  Committal, Church Cemetery.  Memorial may be given to St.
  John the Baptist Church or the American Diabetes Association.
