Mrs. Engle was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ball of Lonaconing where she lived until her marriage with Mr. Engle about 32 years ago, when she came to Meyersdale to make her home. To this union was born one son, John, now married and living at Merchantville, N.J. Mrs. Engle was for many years a member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church and always took an active part in its activities. Only when illness prevented her was she absent from her place in the church services. She was a fine Christian woman, a loving mother, wife, neighbor and friend. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the First M.E. Church by the pastor, Rev. George A. Pallon. Interment was made in the Union Cemetery, W. C. Price being the funeral director in charge. Surviving are her husband and son and these brothers and sisters: Thomas and Stanley Ball, both of Lockport, N.Y.; Mrs. Emma Starnes, of Meyersdale; Mrs. Adam Byers, of Lonaconing, Md.; Miss Martha Ball, of Washington, D.C.
