L. Dahl, died at the home of her son, H. E. England, in Bedford, Saturday, August 23rd, after a long illness. She was born August 18th, 1860, in Harrison Township, Bedford County, and was the daughter of the late Adam and Hannah (Comp) Diehl, and was married to David England at an early age. Mrs. England is survived by her husband and the following children: H. E. England, Bedford; Mrs. W. L. Dahl, Meyersdale; Miss Carrie England, Somerset. One son and one daughter died about ten years ago. The following sisters and brothers also survive: Mrs. Harry Hillegass, Mrs. Robert Darnley, Wm. L. Diehl of Cumberland, and C. A. Diehl of Meyersdale. Mrs. England was a member of the Reformed Church. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, August 26th, at 10 a.m., in Trinity Reformed Church at Friends Cove, by Rev. R. R. Jones. Interment was made in the Trinity Reformed Cemetery. It was one of the largest funerals held in that community for many years. Mrs. England was loved and respected by a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing. Meyersdale Republican, August 28, 1930
