Born Jan. 11, 1936, he was a son of the late Leroy 0. and Olive M. (Shumaker) Engle. Also preceded in death by a son, Wayne L. Engle, a sister, Betty M. Pletcher, and two brothers, Clyde E. Engle Sr. and Francis L. Engle. Survived by a son, Denver R. Harris, Warren, 'Ohio; three brothers: Wendall "Hall" Engle and wife Carol, Olmstead Falls, Ohio; Franklin D. Engle and wife Betty, Mt. Pleasant; Charles E. Engle, Salisbury; two sisters, Evelyn J. Engle, Salisbury, and Rohama Deitke, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; a sister-in-heart, Patricia C. Ackerman and husband Ron, Meyersdale; a nephew with whom he resided, Ronald Engle; two granddaughters: Natasha and Tessa Engle; and a special nephew, Jason Ackerman. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, at the Newman Funeral Homes, RA., Grantsville, Md., where services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating.
