Engle, 72, of Oregon, Ohio, formerly of Warren, Ohio, died May 7, 1994 at St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, Ohio. Born May 22, 1921 in Salisbury, he was the son of Irvin and Mary (Livengood) Engle. He was preceded in death by brothers Quentin, Evan and Nile, and a sister, Frieda Lewis. He is survived by his wife, Viola Romesburg Engle; sons, David A., Hagerstown, Md.; and Gary E. "Rip" of Cohutta, Ga.; daughter, Carol S. Menough, Perrysburg, Ohio; and a sister, Mrs. Donald (Alma) Logue of Lordstown, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps During World War II. He was a member: of Carrol F. Clapp F&AM #655; 32nd degree Mason; Scottish Rite Valley of Tampa Orient of Florida; Egypt Temple Shrine of Tampa, Fla.; Bricklayers Local #43 of Warren, Ohio; International Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Union for 40 years; was a charter member and first president of the Congregation of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Warren, which is now the Covenant United Pres. Church. He was an avid naturalist, outdoorsman, hunter, gardener and fisherman. After retirement, he became an expert woodworker. A funeral was held May 10 at Covenant United Presbyterian Church.
