  ENGLE
  
  Essie M. Engle, 81, of Meyersdale RD 1, died May 28, 1984, in Meyersdale
  Community Hospital.  Born Aug. 18, 1902, in Elk Lick Township, daughter of
  the late Charles and Effie (Williams) Pyle.  Preceded in death by her
  husband, Charles C. Engle.  Survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy E. Hare,
  Meyersdale RD 1; granddaughter, Mrs. Amy Harkom of Meyersdale; and a
  great-granddaughter, Amanda; also one brother, Jack Pyle of Salisbury; and
  two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Holler and Mrs. Grace Holler, both of Boynton.
  Member of the St. Paul (Wilhelm) United Church of Christ.  Friends will be
  received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Thomas Funeral Home in
  Salisbury.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the St. Paul
  United Church of Christ with the Rev. Carl P. Mitchell officiating.
  Interment, St. Paul Cemetery.  The body will lie in state at the church
  from 1 p.m. until time of service.
