HERBERT ENGLE

  Herbert Engle, 39, died June 4 at his home at Trans-Meyersdale after a brief 
illness.
  A son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Engle of Meyersdale R.D., he was born on Feb. 
14, 1904 in Elk Lick Twp.  He was a miner for some years.
  Surviving are his parents, his wife, Mrs. Helen (Cook) Engle; two children, 
Carroll Louise and Herbert Lynn, both at home, and two brothers and three 
sisters - Wilbert Engle, Meyersdale; Pvt. Walter T. Engle, with the Army in 
North Carolina; Mrs. Ray Baker, Mrs. Paul Klink and Mrs. Leonard Faidley, all of 
Meyersdale R.D.
  Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the home 
of the deceased's mother-in-law, Mrs. Irvin Cook of Meyersdale.  Rev. A. J. 
Forry, pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church, officiated.  
Interment in the church cemetery under the direction of H. R. Konhaus.
