She had been in ill health for some time at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nora Bittner, and was taken to the hospital less than a week ago. She was born May 18, 1863, the daughter of Jacob and Susan Kepp Nedrow. She was the wife of Chancie J. Engle, who preceded her in death. They were residents of St. Paul for many years. Mrs. Engle was the oldest member of the St. Paul (Wilhelm) Evangelical and Reformed Church. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Cora Sechler and Mrs. Salome Maust of St. Paul and Mrs. Nora Bittner, Meyersdale, and one son, Lloyd Engle, Meyersdale. One daughter, Mrs. Edith Spangler, preceded her in death. Also surviving are two brothers, William Nedrow of Fairmont, Nebr., and John Nedrow of Waterloo, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Eliza Wright, Jennerstown, Mrs. Mary Housel of Salisbury and Mrs. Anna Newman of Los Angeles, Calif., 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the St. Paul church Saturday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. George Ely officiating. Burial will be made in the church cemetery under the direction of W. C. Price and Son.
