  LESTER F. ENGLE 
  
    Lester F. Engle, 83, of Salisbury, died April 17. 1973, at home.  Born
  Nov. 17, 1889, in Elk Lick Township, he was a son of the late Douglas and
  Anna (Folk) Engle.  He was preceded in death by his wife, the former
  Gertrude Hersh.
    Surviving are two sons: Woodrow, Meyersdale RD 1: and Donald, Baltimore.
  Md.; three daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Swauger, Salisbury. Mrs. Hilda Shumaker,
  Turtle Creek; and Mrs. Audrey Tressler. Grantsville RD 1; 14 grandchildren,
  13 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Emma Menhorn, Meyersdale.
    He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, a retired school
  teacher, merchant and farmer in Elk Lick Township.
    Funeral service will be held in Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, Friday
  afternoon at two o'clock, with Rev. Daniel J. Whitacre officiating.
  Interment in St. Paul Cemetery.
