All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ LYDIA ALICE ENGLE Mrs. Lydia Alice (Rubright) Engle, aged 70 years, 5 months and 14 days, died in the McKeesport Hospital in McKeesport, on Sunday, December 7, 1941, at 1:30 a.m., after being confined to the hospital for one month. Mrs. Engle, the wife of the late Simon Engle, was born in Meyersale, R.D., on June 23, 1871, the daughter of George and Lucy (Studebaker) Rubright. She is survived by four sons, Ray E., Harold K. and Ellwood D., all of Meyersdale, and Allen E., of McKeesport; one daughter, Nellie S. Engle, of McKeesport; one sister, Mrs. Grant Thomas, of Salisbury, and seven grandchildren. Services were held on Wednesday afternoon, December 10, at the family home, 500 North Street, Meyersdale. Services were in charge of Rev. Nelson C. Brown, pastor of the Amity Evangelical and Reformed Church. Interment was made in St. Paul Cemetery, under the direction of W. C. Price and Son, local morticians. Mrs. Engle had gone to McKeesport to visit her children there. Mrs. Engle was an active member of Amity Evangelical and Reformed Church.
