  MATILDA ENGLE
  
    Miss Matilda Gertrude Engle, 98, of Berlin, died May 3, 1977, at home.
    She was born Oct. 21, 1878, in Brothersvalley Township, the daughter 
  of the late Samuel C. and Melissa (Bowman) Engle.
    She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.  She is
  survived by a brother, Ralph C., Berlin; one niece and one nephew.
    She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and was active in
  various church groups.
    Funeral services were held May 5 at Johnson and Son Funeral Home with
  Rev. Kenneth S. Swanson officiating.  Interment, Berlin IOOF Cemetery.
