  R. WAYNE ENGLE
  
    R. Wayne Engle, 49, Salisbury, died Jan. 4, 1972, in Cumberland.  Born
  Sept. 20, 1922, he was the son of Lester F. and Gertrude Hersh.
    Surviving are his father of Salisbury; his wife, the former Janice
  Robertson; two dough tern, Mrs. Vicki Grew, Salisbury. and Lori Engle, at
  home; also three brothers, Wilbur, Salisbury; Woodrow, Meyersdale; and
  Donald, Baltimore; and three sisters, Mrs. Phyllis Swauger, Salisbury; Mrs.
  Audrey Tressler, Springs; and Mrs. Hilda Shumaker, Turtle Creek.
    He was a member and deacon of the Salisbury Church of the Brethren.  He
  owned and operated Kelly's Car Wash and was a mechanic for Keystone Lime
  Company.  He was a veteran of World War II, a member of Salisbury American
  Legion, and a member of United Commercial Travelers.
    Funeral service was held Friday afternoon at Thomas Funeral Home,
  Salisbury, with Rev. Daniel Whitacre officiating.  Interment in Salisbury
  Cemetery.
