Engle, 83, of Berlin died March 8, 1994, at Conemaugh hospital, Johnstown. Born Aug. 12, 1910, in Berlin. Son of Ralph and Narncy (Miller) Engle. Preceded in death by parents; his wife, the former Eleanor Miller; brother, James, and sister, Kathryn Sproull. Survived by nephews, Charles B. Sproull II and Thomas E. Sproull; nieces, Barbara Croner and Rachel Ann Bodick. Retired after 30 years as an insurance investigator. World War II Army veteran. Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin; and the Historical Society, Lions Club, Harry Fisher Post 445, American Legion, and Last Man's Club, all of Berlin. Also a charter member and life member of Robert Walker Post 7295, VFW, Berlin. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and. 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Melvin A. Kirk officiating.
