Engle, born March 30th, 1941, died Wednesday, July 2, of acute indigestion. The child had been sickly for some time, and the parents had taken it to the office of Dr. J. W. Wenzel, Meyersdale, for examination and treatment. The doctor diagnosed the infant's ailment, and prescribed treatment, but while the parents were returning home with the little one who had brightened their home for so short a time, it died in its mother's arms shortly before they arrived at their home at Springs. The funeral service was held last Friday at 10 a.m., at the home of the parents, which is also the home of its grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Shoemaker. The service was conducted by Rev. Roy Otto of the Springs Mennonite Church. Interment was in the Springs Cemetery under the direction of Stanley M. Thomas, Salisbury mortician. Meyersdale Republican, July 10, 1941
