Englehart, 88, 399 Walnut St., Johnstown, died Jan. 8, 1980, at home. Born Sept. 14, 1893, in Johnstown, he was a son of William and Maggie (Brandle) Englehart. He was preceded in death by parents; brothers, Arnold and Carl; and sister, Margaret. He is survived by widow, former Susan Boback, and these children: Harry C., married to former Nancy Blimmel; Donald C., married to former Ruth Donnelly; Marion Sally,wife of John Sroka; and Carol J., wife of Donald E. Houghton, all of Johnstown; Thomas W., married to former Jeanette Buehl, Reading, Ohio; James J., married to former Mary Kay Majer, Fayetteville; and Charles E., married to former Wanda Kimmel, Rockwood; also 31 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was a brother of William, Robert, Clarence, Mrs. Eleanor Erlinger and Mrs. Mary Montag. He was a veteran of World War I, retired employee with 52 years' service at Gautier Division, Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp. He served in France with AEF under Gen. Pershing, was a member of Knights of St. George; Sgt. Michael Strank Post 5107, VFW; St. Joseph's Catholic Church's Holy Name Society; and St. Joseph's Church, where Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated with the Rev. More Herald officiating. Interment, church cemetery. Friends were received at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home, Broad Street, where a wake service was held Thursday. The Republic, Jan. 17, 1980 [E356]
