Born Oct. 31, 1891, in Sang Run, Md., daughter of the late William N. and Annie (Fazenbaker) Browning. Also preceded in death by husband, Alvin C.; a son, Theodore R.; a daughter, Mrs. Lois McCarter; four sisters and three brothers. Survived by these children, William N. of Doylestown, Pa.; Mrs. Eloise Critchfield of Worthington, Pa.; and Mrs. Ruth Hussey, Lebanon, Ill.; also 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A sister of Mrs. Gladys Litman, Uniontown. Member of Zion Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir for 55 years. Was 1967 Meyersdale Citizen of the Year. A member of War Mothers, Golden Age Club, American Legion Auxiliary and Women's Club. Served on the Board of Directors of Meyersdale Community Hospital for 20 years. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Zion Lutheran Church where the body will lie in state from 10 a.m. until time of service, the Rev. Lloyd Wilson officiating.
