Engleka Jr., 62, of Gardens of Gulf Cove, Fla., died April 2, 1986, at Englewood Health Care Center. Born in Berlin and came to this area 2 years ago from Ligonier, Pa. He was retired from Latrobe Steel as a welder in Latrobe, Pa. He served in World War II in the Normandy Invasion and Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of Lemon Bay Fla. Chapter DAV 88, VFW 734 and American Legion 267, both of Ligonier. He was a member of BPOE 2153, Port Charlotte, Fla. Survivors include wife, Elva (Sipple) Engleka; daughter, Robyn Ann of Englewood, Fla.; three sisters: Laura Boger, Akron, Ohio; Edna Custer, Berlin; and Mabel Thorpe, Vandalia, Ohio. Interment was in Golf Pines Memorial, Englewood, Fla., with the Lemon Bay DAV providing graveside military funeral. Daily American, April 10, 1986 [E367]
