Engleka Sr., 64, of Laughlintown, died April 21, 1983, at Somerset Community Hospital. He was born June 8, 1918, in Brothersvalley Township, a son of William W. and Martha (Frahlick) Engleka. He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother. He is survived by his father; his wife, the former Evelyn Altfather; a son Reon M. Jr., Berlin; a daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Emily) Bittner of Somerset; and two grandchildren, Michelle and Sean Engleka. Also survived by brothers, Eugene, Berlin RD 3; and Paul, Fairhope RD 1; and sisters, Ruth of Berlin RD 3; and Mary, wife of Dwight Hostetler, Friedens RD 1. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was chief of the farm crew at the Rolling Rock Farms, Ligonier. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Mark B. Michael officiating.
