Born Nov. 17, 1919, in Brothersvalley Township. A son of the late Simon and Elizabeth (Maust) Engleka. Preceded in death by daughter, Sally; and these brothers and sisters: Elwood, Leo, Donald, Jacob, Saloma, Ferne, Erma. Survived by wife, the former Marian Hileman; two sons, Simon III and Shawn, both of Somerset; one grandson, Joshua. Member of Somerset Church of the Nazarene. World War II veteran. Served in the European Theater in Germany and France. Retired from the service to operate the family farm until health reasons forced his retirement. Death ended a marriage union of 45 years. Beloved husband, father and grandfather. Last member of immediate family. Friends will be received in his family residence from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today (Monday). Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Somerset Church of the Nazarene, Pastor John Buchko officiating. Body will lie in state in the church from 12:30 p.m. until hour of service.
