Enos, 65, brother-in-law of former postmaster C. S. Lichliter, died suddenly of a heart attack Sunday, August 13, at 9:00 a.m., at his home in Martinsburg, W.Va. A native of Mountain Lake Park, Md., he was the son of the late David E. and Priscilla Laing Enos. He was at one time a resident of Salisbury, moved to Cherry Run, W.Va., and 17 years ago, to Martinsburg. For a time he operated a coal business there and at the time of his death owned and operated a grocery store. Surviving are his wife, formerly Miss Ida L. Crane; seven children - Charles V. Enos, Piedmont, W.Va.; Vincent K. Enos, the U.S. Army; Mrs. Mattie P. Nagley, Philadelphia; Mrs. I. Maurice Compton, Martinsburg, W.Va.; Mrs. Anna Butts, Tampa, Fla.; Mrs. Inez Apple, Baltimore; Charles O. Enos, Jr., U.S. Navy, and one sister, Mrs. Effie Henderson, Washington, D.C. Mr. Enos was buried on August 15, in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg, with Rev. J. R. Collis, pastor of the Second United Brethren Church, of which he was a member, officiating.
