  Ira M. Eppley Sr., 73 of Hollsopple RD 2, died unexpectedly Jan. 10, 1976
  at home.  Born Jan. 18, 1902 in Jenner Township, son of William J. and Sarah
  Ellen (Penrod) Eppley.  Preceded in death by parents; son, John F.; daughter,
  Josephine; sister, Mayme, wife of Josiah Blough; brother, John L. and infant
  sister and three grandchildren.  Survived by widow, the former Marian Boyer,
  whom he married June 12, 1923 and these children: Ira M. Jr., married to
  the former Alice Gabriel; Hollsopple RD 2, Sally Lou, wife of Clifford
  Stutzman, Hollsopple RD 1; David J., married to the former Kathie Ann
  Shaffer and Linda, wife of Larry Shaffer, both of Boswell RD 1, also 21
  grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  Brother of Stella wife of Joseph
  Boyer, Hollsopple RD 2, and Emma, wife of LeRoy Thomas, Hollsopple RD 1.
  Member of Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle In Jennerstown and International
  Union of Operating Engineers, Local 66, in Monroeville.   Friends were
  received Sunday and will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday and until
  noon Tuesday at the Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St.,
  Boswell. The body will then be removed to Thomas Mennonite Church for
  viewing from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. the Rev. Chauncey J.
  Ickes and the Rev. Aldus Wingard officiating.  Interment Thomas Mennonite
  Cemetery.
