Eppley Sr., 69, North Walnut Street, Davidsville, died Aug. 28, 1988, at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born May 26, 1919, in Benshoff Hill, son of Frank and Minnie (Mangus) Eppley. Preceded in death by parents, one sister, several brothers and one grandson. Survived by wife, the former Dorothy Lohr; and these children: Carole, wife of Mearl Horner, Davidsville; Robert Jr., married to Cynthia Lippincott, Ambler, Pa.; and Brian, at home; 5 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Brother of: Elsie Cramer, Mineral Point; Violet Neff, Johnstown RD 1; and Clifford, Beltsville, Md. Member of Maple Springs Church of the Brethren where he was a deacon and Sunday School teacher and the Maple Springs Senior Citizens. Treasurer for the West Pa. District Church of the Brethren. Retired from Bethlem Steel as superintendent of the accounting department with 39 1/2 years service. Also worked for Merle Mishler, auctioneer. Member of Connumach Lions Club. Death ends a marriage union of 46 years. Family is receiving friends 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Davidsville. Remains will be moved to the Maple Springs Church of the Brethren at 10 a.m. Wednesday till 11 a.m., the time of service, the Rev. Beverly Good. Interment, church cemetery.
