Catherine St., died Aug. 12, 1989, at Somerset Hospital. Born Aug. 5, 1923 in Jeannette, son of the late Clarence and Florence (Irwin) Erickson. Survived by wife of 41 years, the former Gloria Markel, step-mother, Martha Erickson of Jeannette, two children, Mrs. Hugh (Lynne) McKee, Indiana, Pa., and Mark, married to the former Deana Powell, DuBois, and these grandchildren, Janet, Michael and Matthew Erickson, Kerry and Tommy McKee. World War II veteran of U.S. Army, serving in Pacific Theater where he was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Member of American Legion Somerset, and St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church. Charter member and past president of Somerset Jaycees. Member of Roof Garden Barbershop Chorus, serving as an officer and treasurer. Member of Mary S. Biesecker Library board. Retired employee of J.I. Holcomb Co. Member of Somerset Country Club, Monday night industrial golf league and National Rifle Association. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where Rosary will be recited at 8:45 p.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. Monsignor Samuel J. Tomaselli officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to the In-Touch Hospice Association, E. Patriot St., Somerset, or the Mary S. Biesecker Library.
