    Lois R. Esch, 74, Berlin, died Oct. 1, 2008, at Meadow View Nursing Center. Born Feb.
  12, 1934, in Berlin, a daughter of Orlo and Bernice (Sevits) Walker. Preceded in death by
  her parents; husband, John Robert Esch; sister, Nancy W. Hathaway; and nephew, David Erik
  Hathaway. Survived by her children, Barbara E. Peachey, married to Tim, Landisville; and
  James M. Esch, married to the former Stacy Tartar, West Chester; grandchildren, Sarah and
  Ben Peachey and Devin Casey Esch. She was a graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School
  and Ashland College. She was a teacher for the Somerset School District. Member of St.
  Paul's Presbyterian Church, Somerset, and Women's Missionary Society of the Berlin
  Brethren Church. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral
  Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Pastor Gene Oburn
  officiating. Interment Berlin IOOF Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to
  Berlin Brethren Church, 620 Main St., Berlin, PA 15530; or St. Paul's Presbyterian
