Born Sept. 12, 1905, in Stoystown. Daughter of John and Mary (Hite) Ackerman. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Fred J. Sr., on July 3, 1959; infant sons Fred Jr. and Tony; sisters, Alma Ackerman and Olive Roebeck, and brothers, Royal and Orva Lee. Survived by these children: Josephine, wife of Merle Hefner, Detroit, Mich.; Joseph of Gary, Ind.; Viola, wife of John Gelpi, Somerset; Frances, widow of Edwin Pugh; Mary, wife of Robert Pugh, and Ralph "Butch," married to Pam Blucas, all of Ralphton; John, married to Barbara Habbit, Woodbridge, N.J.; Ethel, widow of John Silva, Avenel, N.J.; Anna, wife of John Jankowski, with whom she resided, and Paul, married to Donna Rojek, Woodbridge, N.J. Also 36 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Sandy Esposita of Stoystown RD 1 and Barbara Esposita, Largo, Fla.; niece, Viola Miner, Franklin, Ill. and nephew, Orva Lee Ackerman, Dover. Former member of St. John's Catholic Church, Acosta. Employed by former Nancy Carol Garment Factory, Boswell, for many years. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where wake service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Mass of Christian banal at 10 a.m. Wednesday at All Saints Parish, St. John's Church, Acosta, the Rev. Father Blase Wegierski, O.F.M. Conv. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Ralphton.
