Born Oct. 27, 1918 in Garrett. A son of the late Tony and Mary (Commotes) Estnick. Also preceded in death by two sisters Anna and Mary; and three brothers: Tony, Edward and Joseph. Survived by his wife the former Mamie Marker, and two sisters, Doris Brant, Garrett, and Julie Trout, Meyersdale. Also a number of nieces and nephews. John was a former coal miner and was retired from Latrobe Construction. He was a member of Laborer's International of North America, Union Local 419, and Slovene National Benefit Society Lodge 289. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Donald Judy officiating.
