She was born at Lynchburg, Va., but lived practically all of her life in Meyersdale, relocating in Virginia following the death of her husband, Samuel Evans, who passed away about eight years ago. There were seven children as the result of this union, as follows: Mrs. Charles Edward Reed, the Misses Birdie and Cathryn, and Samuel, Roy and Lester, all of Charlottesville, Va. One child preceded the parents to the grave, many years ago. One sister, Mrs. Charles Edward Banks, of Large Street, also survives. She was the only one from here who attended the funeral, which was held in Charlottesville, on Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Meyersdale Republican, June 18, 1931
