Born in Londonderry Township Dec. 27, 1906, he was a son of the late Samuel Evans and Annie (Troutman) Evans. He was a retired employee of the Amcelle plant, Celanese Fibers Corporation, near Cumberland, Md. He was a member of Hyndman Grange 1954 and the Hyndman Senior Citizens. He is survived by two brothers, Charles Evans and Russell Evans, both of Hyndman RD 1; and two sisters, Miss Ida Evans, with whom he resided, and Mrs. Pearl Mason, Canton, Ohio. Friends may call at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. by Pastor Galen Geitzel.
