Evans, 67, of Acosta, Pa., died Jan. 31, 1981, at his residence. Born March 9, 1913, in Hartmonsville, W.Va., son of the late Howard and Mary Elizabeth (Grayson) Evans. Also preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters. Survived by his widow, the former Twila Lucretia Morris; and these chidren: Eugene F., Acosta; Patricia Ann; wife of Robert Allen, Riverside, Calif.; Richard L., of Virginia Beach, Va.; Jeffrey A., Stoystown RD 1; eight grandchildren. Brother of Oscar L., of Elk Garden, W.Va.; and Mrs. Alma Bernadine George, of Swanton, Md. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Stoystown; Somerset Lodge No. 358 F. and A.M.; Harrisburg Consistory; Jaffa Temple; F.O.E.; UMWA; Acosta Volunteer Fire Company; and he was a retiree of Bethlehem Steel Mines. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today (Monday) at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Ronald Long officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park. Masonic services will be held at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Daily American, February 2, 1981 [E461]
