Evans, 87, Berlin, formerly of Hyndman, passed away July 28, 2007, at Meadow View Nursing Home, Berlin. Born, Oct. 1, 1919, in Cumberland, Md., she is a daughter of the late Jacob W. and Florence G. (Nee) Baker. She also is preceded in death by her husband, Carl T. Evans; a son, Evan Evans; a daughter, Eleanor Schultz; and a brother, Wilton Baker. Survived by a son, Carl A. Evans and wife, Dona, Whitby, Ontario, Canada; half brother, John Baker, Hyndman; half sister, Peggy Lumen, Alexandria, Va.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was a sewing machine operator at Top of All Plant and H. Levine in Ohio. Agraveside service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hyndman Cemetery, Hyndman. The Rev. Dr. Tomislav Dosch officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Church of Christ, Hyndman.
