  MILDRED I. EVANS
   
  Mildred I. Evans, 83, of Hyndman RD 1, died Thursday, July 28, 1988, at
  Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.  Born in Hyndman, she was a daughter
  of the late James N. and Ethel (Rice) Thomas.  Her husband, Bert W. Evans,
  died in 1954.  She was a member of Central Christian Church.  Surviving are a
  daughter, Mrs. Donna Lafferty, with whom she had resided; two brothers:
  Kenneth P. Thomas, Hyndman; Allan C. Thomas, Fort Wayne, Ind.; and a
  sister, Mrs. Marian Kerns, Hyndman.  Friends were received at the Zeigler
  Funeral Home where services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. H.
  B. Rittenhouse.  Interment, Hyndman Cemetery.
