Everett, 80, of Jerome, died unexpectedly May 22, 1975 at Memorial Hospital Johnstown. Born Sept. 2, 1894 in Lycoming County, Pa., a son of Edwin T. and Emma Hauser Everett. Preceded in death by parents, two sisters and five brothers. Survived by widow, the former Elsie Miller and these childien: Betty and Glenn, married to the former Jean Layton, both of Jerome; Clyde W., New Brunswick, N.J.; Dorothy, wife of Theodore Glessner, and Mrs. Emily Landis, both of Boswell; Jeanne, wife of Joseph Flory, West Unity, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; was a sister of Mrs. Ethel Eisenhower of Jerome. Longtime active member of Jerome Lutheran Church; veteran of World War I; member of Jerome American Legion Post 802; Local 998 Tire Hill, UMW of A; and Conemaugh Township Senior Citizens. Was a retired employe [sic] of Hillman Coal and Coke Co. of Jerome. Mr. and Mrs. Everett celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary Sept. 5, 1974 and was a resident of Jerome since 1932. Friends were received Thursday evening and will be received from 10 a.m. Friday until 9:30 p.m. at the Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral Home 409 Main St., Boswell. Funeral Service at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Jerome Lutheran Church, with the Rev. George A. Clark. Interment I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Berlin.
