  Robert E. "Dokes" Ewing Sr., 62, 313 Railroad Ave., Jerome, died July 13,
  1990, at Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born Feb 25, 1928, in Jerome,
  son of Oliver L., and Cora (Emerick) Ewing.  Preceded in death by father.
  Survived by mother, Jerome, wife, former Lucy C. Babela, these children;
  Robert E. Jr. married to former Sharon A. Wilt, Jerome, Gregory A. married
  to former Gayle P. McCrystal, Owensboro, Ky.; Eric J., USMC, Arlington,
  Va.; grandchildren; Jason, Alicia, Robert, and Jessica.  Brother of Lewis,
  Boswell RD 1, Evelyn Balogh, Tarpon Springs, Fla.; Donald Guilford, Conn.;
  Oliver, Manassas, Va.; and Patricia Gowarty, Jerome, also aunt, and uncle,
  Grace and Roy Emerick, Bedford.  Member of Jerome Post No. 461 American
  Legion, New Baltimore Sportsmen Association, and Jenner Rod and Gun Club.
  Past president of Jerome Sportsmen Association.  Retired employee of Aviation
  Power Supply, Burbank, Calif.; Army veteran of WW II.  Friends received 2-4
  and 7-9 p.m Saturday and until time of service at 2 p.m. Sunday at the
  Hoffman Funeral Home, Main St. Boswell. Rev. Chauncey J. Ickes.  Interment,
  Maple Spring Cemetery.  Military graveside rites in charge of Jerome
  American Legion.
