(Somerset, Pa.): February 17, 1892 William B. Frease, for many years a prominent business man of this place, and Vice President of the Somerset County National Bank, died shortly before ten o'clock Wednesday morning. He had been afflicted with a complication of troubles for a number of years, and two weeks ago he was seized with grippe, which developed pneumonia. His condition had been very critical for several days preceding his death, but Tuesday his physician and family looked for a favorable termination of his illness. The direct cause of death was heart failure. He was in his 62nd year, and was a son of Michael Frease, of New Centreville. He leaves a wife and two children; Mrs. Marian Roach, of Streator, Ill., and Watson, a resident of Wilmerding. William B. Frease was a good citizen in every respect, and during the thirty odd years he was a resident of this town, he had won the esteem and confidence of all our people. Shortly after removing to Somerset be entered into partnership with the late Absolom Casebeer in the general merchandise business, which he continued until 1878, when he was elected Register and Recorder. Upon completing his term of office he re-entered into partnership with Mr. Casebeer. At the time of bis death he was senior member of the well-known firm of Frease and Kooser. Mr. Frease was a prominent and active member of the Lutheran church.
