Faidley, 67, 3512 Ellwood Road, New Castle, died June 7, 1990, at Northside Hospital, Youngstown, Ohio. Born Sept. 19, 1922, at Somerset. Son of the late Charles and Minerva (Brenneman) Faidley. Preceded in death by his parents and four sisters. Survived by wife, the former Marjorie Pow; son, Paul C. Faidley, Arlington, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Marjorie L.) Singletary, Tulsa, Okla., and Mrs. Emerson (Cynthia) Turnbull, Brookville; five sisters-Mildred Houpt, Helen Gerhardt, Dorothy Pyle and Pauline Arnold, all of Somerset, and Betty Coleman, Johnstown; brother Frank Faidley, Somerset; and six grandchildren. He was a retired state policeman, serving in Erie, Butler, and Washington counties, and serving last as a lieutenant in Lawrence County. He was a charter member of Brady Paul Lodge FOP 54 and member of Retired State Police Association of Pennsylvania and VFW Post 554 of Somerset. He served in the U.S. Air Corps during WWII as a master sergeant. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at J. Bradley McGonigle Memorial Home Inc., New Castle, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Rev. Eugene J. Dougherty officiating. Interment, Somerset Memorial Park.
