Savage, Md., died Sunday, March 17, 1985, at Cumberland Memorial Hospital. Born April 10, 1920, in Elk Lick Township, son of the late Arthur Faidley and Mary (Hostetler) Faidley. Preceded in death by his first wife, Madelyn (Snyder) Faidley, and one son, John C. Faidley, who was killed in Vietnam. Survived by his wife, Mary (Geiger) Faidley; three daughters: Betty Ann Muri, Charlottesville, Va.; Arlene C. Fritz, Berlin; and Linda Lou Robinson, Sunfield, Mich.; three sons: Robert E. Faidley, Lansing, Mich.; Ralph E. Faidley, Mt. Savage; Joseph W. Faidley, at home: 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Brother: Joseph Faidley, Meyersdale; four sisters: Mrs. Margaret Kochever, Garrett, Pa.; Mrs. Ruth Phillippi, Markleton, Pa., Mrs. Ann Phillippi, Rockwood, Pa.; and Mrs. Jean Hutzell, Salisbury, Pa. Family will receive friends at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, Md., 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday. Services Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. John R. Scamehorn officiating.
