HENRY WILLIAM FAILINGER

  Last rites for Henry William Failinger, 56, retired farmer, who died Tuesday 
night, May 14, at his residence one mile West of Grantsville, were conducted 
Friday afternoon in the Winterberg Funeral Home.  Rev. George Bowersox, pastor 
of the Grantsville Lutheran Church, officiated.  Interment in the Addison 
Cemetery.
  He was born October 8, 1890, at Cove, a son of the late John and Matilda 
(Hochman) Failinger.
  Mr. Failinger, retired from farming and lived near Grantsville the last eight 
years.  He was employed at public works when his health permitted.
  Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Orpha Durst, whom he married in 1914.  
Six children survive: Raymond William,Kermit and Donald Failinger at home; Mrs. 
Ivan Swauger, Cumberland; Mrs. Clyde Krause, Jennings, and John Failinger, 
Grantsville; also a sister, Mrs. Christina Beal of Grantsville, and eight 
grandchildren.
