Fain, 24, of Somerset passed on Feb. 10, 2002 at Somerset Hospital. Born Oct. 25, 1977 in Toledo, Ohio. Son of Lisa M. Darrell of Orange Park, Fla. and William E. Fain of Atlanta, Ga. Preceded in death by maternal grandfather James O. Martin Jr. Survived by parents, maternal grandmother Georgia R. Martin of Somerset, brother Gregory and sister Christina Fain, both of Atlanta, uncles James O. Martin III of Somerset, and Tony S., married to Soma (Otis) Martin of Fairfax, Va., and numerous great uncles and aunts and other family members. He was a 1995 graduate of Somerset High School where he competed in track and field as a hurdler. He was a multiple PIAA District 6 champion in hurdles and 4X400 meter relay. He placed 9th in the national AAU meet in the 400 meter hurdles his senior year. He went on to participate in track and field at Slippery Rock University. He was a member of St. Francis-In-The-Fields Episcopal Church in Somerset. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis-In-The-Fields, Father Mark Zimmerman officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
