  FAIRBANKS
  
  Nancy A. (Meyers) Fairbanks, 60, of Blairsville, died on Wednesday, Oct.
  29, 2003, in the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh.  A
  daughter of Harry B. and Margaret L. (Spangler) Meyers, she was born Sept.
  25, 1943 in Johnstown.  She was preceded in death by her mother and
  daughter, Amy Fairbanks, in 1999.  She is survived by her husband of 34
  years, Carl D. Fairbanks to whom she married May 19, 1969; a son, Eric G.
  Fairbanks and his wife Patricia, Monroe, Mich.; her father Harry B. Meyers,
  Bakersville; a brother, Mark Meyers and his wife Stacey, Bakersville; and
  two sisters, Kathy Hauger and her husband Pete, and Kimberly McNeel and her
  husband Rob, all of Somerset.  Mrs. Fairbanks was a loving mother.  She was
  a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking and also worked as a licensed
  practical nurse.  She graduated from Somerset High School with the class of
  1961.  The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at
  the Shoemaker Funeral Home Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville.  Service
  will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. Jacquelyn
  Ahern officiating.  Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery,
