Falknor, 80, former mortician in Bedford County and later prominent hotel proprietor in Berlin, Somerset County, died last Sunday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. M. Meyers, in Johnstown. His death ended a marriage union of 54 years with the former Mary Rhodes. The couple were married on April 22, 1890, in Saxton, Bedford County, and made their home for a time in Hopewell, where Mr. Falknor engaged in the undertaking business. Many years later they moved to Berlin where Mr. Falknor purchased one hotel, built another and remodeled a third. He retired from business some years ago and resided in Philadelphia for two years. Four years ago he and Mrs. Falknor went to Johnstown to reside with their daughter. Mr. Falknor was a member of the Reformed Church and of the I.O.O.F. Surviving in addition to his wife and daughter, is one granddaughter, Marjorie Lou Meyers. Funeral services were conducted in Johnstown, Tuesday evening, by Rev. George Bricker, pastor of St. John's Reformed Church. On Wednesday morning the body was taken to Saxton, Bedford County, for interment in the Reformed Cemetery there.
