Fanale, 71, Quecreek, died June 8, 1995, at his residence. Born March 17, 1924, in Lincoln Township. Son of the late Vincent and Marie Nunzia (Marine) Fanale. Also preceded in death by brothers: Pasquale "Patsy" Fanale, William Fanale and Dante Fanale., Survived by his wife, the former Pauline E. Fruner, to whom he was married for 46 years, and these children: Vincent F. Finale, Erie; Cindy, married to William "Tom" Fisher of Somerset, and Douglas A. Fanale, married to the the [sic] former Carla Tokar of Somerset RD 1. Also a grandson, Cory Fanale. Brother of Mrs. Chester H. (Michena) Gurzenda and Mrs. Ida Shroyer, both of Quecreek. Member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, National Association of Retired Postmasters, VFW Post 554, American Legion Post 181 and Jenner Rod and Gun Club. Retired postmaster of Jennerstown, retiring in 1989. U.S. Army veteran of World War II. A 1943 graduate of Somerset High School. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where Wake Service will be held at 8:45 p.m. Friday. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Msgr. Samuel J. Tomaselli, celebrant. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
