  John J. Farkas, 85, of Lincoln Highway, Boswell RD, DOA Feb. 13, 2000 at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born March 19, 1914 in Heilwood, Indiana County.  Son
  of Mike and Mary (King) Farkas.  Preceded in death by Parents, wife of 48
  years the former Marie V. Zemencsik June 2, 1989 and niece Julia Zadakis. 
  Survived by sisters Julia, wife of Anthony Daley, Boswell RD and Florida,
  and Mary, Parma, Ohio.  Two Nieces, two great-nieces and three
  great-nephews.  Member of USWA.  Retired employee of former US Steel Corp.,
  Johnstown Works.  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the
  Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where services will be
  held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Rev. Joseph M. Beer officiating.  Interment
  Lutheran Cemertery, Jennerstown.
