Born July 29, 1928, in Ronco, Pa., son of the late Andrew and Mary Ann (Gonda) Farkosh. Preceded in death by brothers, Paul, John and Donald; son, Lawrence Samuel; and a step-grandson. Survived by wife, the former Julia (Datko) Christner Farkosh; four children: Mary Ann Heydt, Perkiomenville, Pa.; Carl L. and Mrs. Richard (Cindy) Dewalot, both of Boyertown, Pa., and Ronald S., Gilbertsville; 4 step-children: Robert D. Christner, Steve S. Christner and Terry L. Christner, all of Somerset, and Larry W. Christner, Jacksonville, Fla.; 5 grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and a step-great-granddaughter. Brother of Francis R., Somerset; James R., Somerset RD 4; Mrs. Charles (Bernadine) Baker, Elyria, Ohio; Guy L., Lorain, Ohio; Kenneth R., and Mrs. John (Rita) Gulish, both of Amherst, Ohio; Dennis L. "Joe," Somerset RD 6;, and George A., Oberlin, Ohio. Korean war veteran, retiring from the U.S. Air Force in 1968. Presently employed as a road foreman by PennDOT. Member of Somerset V.F.W., Somerset F.O.E. and Stoystown American Legion. Member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church. Friends were received Thursday and will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where Rosary will be recited at 8:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Msgr. Samuel J. Tomaselli officiating.
