Born Jan. 4, 1924, in Melcroft, a son of Andrew and Mary Ann (Gonda) Farkosh. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Dolores Elvira Talamonti who died Aug. 23, 1967; brothers, Paul, John, Donald, Carl, and Guy Farkosh. Survived by children: Miss Barbara Jean Farkosh, Somerset, Robert F. Farkosh, Somerset, Miss Carol Ann Farkosh, Somerset, David Charles Farkosh, Falls Church, Va., Mark William Farkosh and wife, Sandra, Germantown, Md., Daniel Joseph Farkosh and wife Debra of Germantown, Md., Mrs. Gregory (Dolores) Gindlesperger, Hollsopple, Mrs. J. Scott (Virginia) Dellinger, Johnson City, Tenn.; grandchildren: Matthew, Michael, Jill, Justin and Brie Farkosh; Andrea, Luke and Juliana Gindlesperger; and Natalie Dellinger. Brother of James Farkosh, Somerset, Mrs. Bernadine Baker, Elyria, Ohio, Kenneth R. Farkosh, South Amherst, Ohio, Mrs. John (Rita) Gulish, South Amherst, Ohio, Dennis L. "Joe" Farkosh, Somerset and George A. Farkosh, East Liverpool, Ohio. A 1942 graduate of Somerset High School. Member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Retired truck driver working for Cooper Jarrett Trucking 1954-1970 and PennDOT 1973-1985. Also member of FOE 1801, VFW Post 554 and Western Pennsylvania Teamsters Union. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. Vigil for the deceased will be held 3:45 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. The Rev. Monsignor Samuel J. Tomaselli celebrant. Committal Somerset County Memorial Park.
