Farling died on last Tuesday at noon in the Cottage State Hospital, in Connellsville, following a surgical operation of childbirth, aged 29 years, 6 months and 12 days. Mrs. Farling whose maiden name was Mary Elizabeth Hay, was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Hay, living in Black Township who survive her as do the following brothers and sisters: Lloyd, a farmer of Elk Lick Township; Frank, a farmer of Summit; Edward, a teacher in the public schools of Summit Township; Mrs. G. H. Zufall and Mrs. C. E. Miller, of Rockwood and James, John and Leora, at home. Her husband and three children, Iavina, Wilber and Margaret, are also living. In 1906 the deceased was married to William H. Farling, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Farling, of Rockwood and have since resided in Rockwood. Mrs. Farling, from her youth had been a faithful member of the Reformed Church, a good neighbor, a devoted wife and mother and respected by all who knew her. The obsequies were held from the home of her parents on last Thursday at 2 P. M. which were largely attended and conducted by her pastor, the Rev. W. A. McCellan. Interment was made in the I. O. O. F. Cemetery. The family desires to thank friends for their helpful assistance during the illness and death of their lamented wife and mother. Meyersdale Commercial, Sept. 17, 1914 --- Mrs. William Farley, aged 29 years, died at Connellsville Hospital on September 8th, after having given birth to a little daughter. The remains were taken to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Hay, in Black Township, and services were held on Thursday of last week, conducted by the pastor of the Reformed Church. Those who attended the funeral from the vicinity of Meyersdale were the following: Prof. Kretchman and wife, Harvey Kretchman and wife, John W. Kretchman and wife, H. E.
