Born in Rockwood on March 7, 1908, he was the son of Margaret (McSpadden) and Lewis Michael Farling. Supervisor of the Northwest Division of Pennsylvania Electric Co. for 45 years. He moved to Pittsburgh from Erie in 1977. Survived by his wife, Janice Kinzer Farling, and one sister, Cordia Foltz, both of Pittsburgh. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. Interment, I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Rockwood. Daily American, May 22, 1986 [F0071]
